Box Frame Complete

The box frame is complete. Built out of tw0 1″x12″x14′ pine boards for the top and bottom and two 1″x4″x14′ Douglas fir board for the sides. I used my air nailer to temporarily keep the box together while I put in decks screws. The next step is the mark the center line on the box frame and start making the locations for the stations. Once the stations are marked cross pieces will be screwed to the box frame. Before the molds can be mounded on the box frame, a center point of each mold needs to be located. I will use a laser lever with a horizontal and verical so I can make sure that each mold is in line with the others.

With this box frame I can easily build canoes between 12 and 16 feet.
